Canvas Kombucha Brewing Company. It all started with a beautiful S.C.O.B.Y. and two creative entrepreneurs. Our brewer had been fermenting this tart probiotic beverage for years with some successes and a few, slightly explosive errors, too. He also had nearly a decade of fine cuisine and flavor pairing knowledge just taking up space in his mind. The pair realized that combining his knowledge and her (we can do anything) attitude, they could build a business from the ground up.
Their kitchen became a kombucha laboratory, with the pungent aroma of vinegar and tea quickly becoming acceptable... comforting. Fermenters crowded the kitchen. Bottles were ordered and the startup process quickly began. Home brew kombucha was flavored and shared with friends, family and neighbors, and the response was encouraging. "I don't usually drink that stuff, but this is so good!" became the comment of the year.
Friends and family became the biggest assets to the company from business advice, financial help, donating time and resources, personal loans, sharing opinions....so much kindness and support! Thanks to all this and more, CKBC has blossomed into a healthy and profitable business that will soon look to welcome like-minded members onto its team!
